Components in the Laser Toner
The following components are often included in most toner cartridges –
- Toner hopper: It is a little device that holds the toner cartridges.
- Seal: Before installation, a detachable strip prevents toner from leaking.
- Doctor blade: Helps in controlling the amount of toner dispersed to the developer.
- Developer: Toner is transferred to the OPC drum by the developer.
- Waste bin: Remaining toner wiped from the OPC drum is collected in it.
- Wiper blade: Removes any remaining toner from the paper.
- Primary charge roller (PCR): Before laser-writing, it applies the identical negative to the OPC drum. It also removes the picture from the laser.

Process of Laser Toner Printing
- When you push print on your electronic device, the data is sent to the printer memory, where the information is stored.
- The printer starts becoming hot. You need to wait for the reason that the corona wire is getting ready and heated up to send the positive static charge to the drum.
- The drum (coated metal cylinder) gets an electric charge all through its surface as it begins to roll. There are four drums in certain printers, one for each color – Cyan, Yellow, Black, and Magenta.
- The laser activates and rays are sent against a series of mirrors, replicating the form of your print over the surface of the drum via an opposite negative electrical charge.
- The hopper and toner cartridge adjacent to the drum(s) gently discharge charged carbon toner particles onto the drum. They print the shape using a negative electrical charge.
- The paper is charged as it travels through the printer on the transfer belt. The charged toner has attracted the page inside giving it the shape of the print ordered.
- The toner then melts onto the paper by hot rollers called the fuser unit, and your page is ready to print.
